Number of establishments, source: CBS
The Bergerweg-Rosengarten industrial area in Sittard-Geleen is a highly concentrated business district characterized by a sparse resident population of 475 people across 290 households, allowing the neighborhood to function primarily as a commercial and industrial hub rather than a residential community. With 587 non-residential properties and 555 registered business establishments clustered across 159 hectares, the area presents an exceptionally dense commercial environment at 1197 address locations per square kilometer. The business landscape is dominated by business services with 150 establishments, followed by retail and hospitality with 120 locations, and industrial and energy operations with 85 establishments, indicating a mixed-use industrial and commercial character that serves both B2B and consumer-facing functions. The high vehicle ownership rate of 2.4 cars per household underscores the area's car-dependent logistics and distribution focus, making accessibility by private transport essential for employees and clients. This setting is ideally suited for companies seeking operational space in a purpose-built commercial environment with established infrastructure, strong accessibility, and proximity to complementary service providers, though prospective tenants should note the predominantly industrial-commercial context means limited amenities designed specifically for resident populations.
