Privacy statement

RE-SEARCH takes your privacy seriously. This statement explains what personal data we process, why, how long we keep it, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data controller

RE-SEARCH is the controller for personal data processed through re-search.com and related subdomains (including acc.re-search.com and the RE-CONNECT portal).

What data we process

We only process data that you provide to us or that is strictly necessary to operate the website. Specifically: name, email address, phone number and company name when you submit a contact or search form; search preferences (location, type, size) and saved favourites; login data for the RE-CONNECT portal (email + magic-link token); technical data such as IP address, browser type and page views for error handling and security.

We do not process special categories of personal data (e.g. health or religious information).

Why we process this data

To handle requests, searches and viewing enquiries (contract performance and/or legitimate interest).

To operate the RE-CONNECT portal for landlords, tenants and brokers (contract performance).

To secure the website, detect abuse and debug errors (legitimate interest).

To inform you about new listings or relevant market insights if you ask us to (consent — revocable at any time).

Who we share data with

We only share your data with service providers that help us operate the website and with our own CRM. Processor categories:

A CRM system for landlord, tenant and viewing data, hosted in the EU.

A hosting provider for the website and serverless compute, with processing in the EU region under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

An email service provider for transactional email (magic links, viewing confirmations).

A map service provider for map rendering that only receives technical request data and does not link it to your account.

Data processing agreements are in place with all of these processors. We never sell or rent your data to third parties.

Retention

Contact and lead data in the CRM: for as long as you remain a client, plus 7 years fiscal retention where applicable.

RE-CONNECT magic-link tokens: 15 minutes (expire automatically).

Session cookies: 7 days or until logout.

Server logs: up to 30 days, then anonymised or deleted.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in (RE-CONNECT JWT cookie) and to gate site-access protection. For analytics we only use aggregated, anonymous statistics.

You can block cookies via your browser settings; portal functionality may break as a result.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data. You can also object to processing and withdraw consent at any time.

Send requests to info@re-search.com. We respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our response, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl) or your national supervisory authority.

Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures: encrypted data transport (HTTPS), OAuth2-protected API access, strong password requirements and role-based CRM access. See our terms for further detail.

Changes

We may update this privacy statement. The current version is always available on this page. For material changes we will notify you actively, e.g. by email or an on-site banner.
