Business acquisition
A business acquisition is a transaction in which a buyer assumes ownership of an existing enterprise, its assets and liabilities from the current owner. This encompasses tangible assets such as real estate, equipment and inventory, as well as intangible elements including customer relationships, service contracts and brand identity.
In commercial real estate terms, the acquired property portfolio—offices, industrial units or retail premises—transitions to the buyer along with existing lease agreements and occupancy commitments. Deal structure, debt assumption and consideration are negotiated between parties based on valuation and asset inspection.
