Lettable Floor Area
Lettable Floor Area (LFA) represents the total usable floor space available for lease or sale in a commercial building. It includes offices, retail units, warehouses, enclosed parking spaces, and any other areas that can be independently rented or allocated to tenants.
LFA is measured from the inner edges of exterior walls and partition walls. Common areas such as stairwells, lift shafts, shared mechanical rooms, and outdoor spaces are excluded. This metric forms the basis for calculating rental rates per square metre and is essential for property valuation and investment analysis in commercial real estate.
