B-location
A B-location is a retail address situated outside the main shopping districts of a city or town. Typically located on side streets, secondary shopping centers, or less trafficked intersections, B-locations attract considerably fewer passers-by than A-locations and command lower rent and operational expenses.
These locations suit retailers whose business model does not depend primarily on casual foot traffic: specialist stores, service providers, beauty salons, or niche operators. For many entrepreneurs, B-locations offer an affordable entry point with lower financial risk than premium positions, albeit with generally lower turnover potential.
